Fire Rated & Contract-Grade Specifications
Under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations, wallpaper used in public-facing commercial spaces — including hotel corridors, bar areas and restaurant dining rooms — must meet specific fire performance classifications. We supply wallpaper tested and rated to:
- BS 476 Part 7 Class 1 — the standard most commonly specified for UK hospitality refurbishments
- EN 13501-1 Euroclass B-s2,d0 — for projects requiring the European classification system
- BS EN 233 — standard specifying requirements for wallcoverings in roll form
Do I need fire-rated wallpaper for a pub or bar? In most cases, yes. Areas accessible to the public in licensed premises must meet the fire performance requirements set out in Building Regulations. Our trade team can advise on the correct classification for your specific project.

Do I need fire-rated wallpaper for my pub refurbishment?
In most cases, yes. UK Building Regulations (Approved Document B) require that wall finishes in public-facing commercial spaces meet Class 1 or equivalent fire performance standards. We strongly recommend specifying a fire-rated product for any licensed premises.
Is there a minimum order quantity for trade orders?
There is no minimum on standard stocked ranges. For bespoke or custom-printed wallpaper, minimum orders typically start at 5 rolls — contact us to discuss your project requirements.
Can you match our brand colours for a bespoke design?
Yes. Our bespoke service can match any Pantone, RAL or paint reference. Many hospitality brands choose to create a signature wallpaper in their brand palette — we can take your concept from brief to finished rolls.
Can you supply pattern continuity across a large installation?
Yes — we batch our rolls to ensure pattern and colour consistency across your entire order. For very large installations, we recommend ordering all rolls from the same production run, which we will always arrange where possible.
